Occupy Wall St Protest: Video appears to show police abuse
A video has turned up on YouTube, the video sharing web site, that shows what appears to be a group of young women being herded by NYPD officers using plastic mesh netting. The women then appear to be sprayed with something, which results in the women panicking and screaming in pain.
Yet another video shows police arresting a man for, well, speaking. Not sure what law was being broken here…
Next video shows a group of protesters being assaulted by police, some experiencing various medical problems…
The next shows two young men and one woman being arrested. One of the young men was dragged out, face first, and appears to be unconscious. He is finally alert enough to feel pain, and to indicate he is bleeding. The second young man was experiencing an asthma attack when police dragged him out and several of them pile onto him to arrest him.
One can only hope the media here in the US will finally pay attention to what is going on here. It is apparent from this, and other reports I am seeing, that some on the NYPD are counting on the current media silence to get away with blatant abuse of power, not to mention assault and battery. kidnapping, and unlawful imprisonment.
