Challenging the Powers That Be

About Standing Watch

Standing Watch is a blog site which attempts to address issues related to hate, hate crimes, hate groups, and the individuals and organizations behind them.  The site may also address other issues that are newsworthy, as is seen fit, from time to time.

The goal of the site is to educate others about what constitutes hate, hate crimes, and related activities.  It is also to expose specific groups, organizations, and individuals, especially the ones who do not wish to be exposed, who sponsor, promote, or participate in activities, legal or otherwise, which create an environment of intolerance, fear, and violence.

Most of the content will focus almost exclusively on the United States, under the premise that we must clean up our own house before insisting others do.  However, it is likely that some hate seen abroad is instigated by sponsors based in the United States (such as Uganda’s plan to legalize the extermination of homosexuals), and where possible (especially if it is being ignored by domestic media outlets) those groups will be covered as well.

Where possible, this site will also attempt to address specific incidents reported directly to us.  We will attempt to verify the information provided to us, as well as to identify the specific resources available for the specific incident.

It is time to put an end to hate, fear, violence, and those who perpetuate it.  Exposing them, and their motives, will do much to accomplish that goal.
